NEW FOUND HOME (2023)

New Found Home is a large-scale poster project that represents the new homes of the Eelam Tamil diaspora after the Tamil genocide in Sri Lanka. The poster is composed of two layers: the bottom layer depicts the north and east of Sri Lanka, known as Eelam, where the majority of the Tamil community resides. The top layer features maps of England, Switzerland, France, Canada and Germany superimposed over the Eelam map, creating a new place. This project involved using QGIS to create the maps and Illustrator to layout and add other design elements.
